You plan of having your own family and you will start by some wedding ceremony. Telling Family and Friends of your wedding is a small drop in the ocean compared to what has to be arranged and ' brought in on time ' to make sure your Wedding Day goes smoothly and is a day to remember for you, your Partner, Family, Friends and everyone else who attends your Wedding.

Wedding Gowns

You don't really need a hand-made wedding dress with beads and diamantes. This is where the big cost is and there are several options in cutting the cost. Why not opt for a second-hand wedding dress. It’s probably only been worn once anyway and you can get a once expensive dress for half the price. There are some great bargains to be had on the Internet and, at first glance, one can get just about any designer dress from places, such as China for a fraction of what it might cost in say the USA. There is also eBay where bridal clothes are auctioned off at what might be considered to be a great price. That is until they arrive, or don't arrive as is sometimes the case.

The Reception

If you find that having a formalized sit-down dinner is too expensive, even at reduced rates these locales offer, is it possible to simply rent the hall with chairs and/or tables for your guests to sit down? Again, in this case, if you have a large family who can help out, is it possible to bring your own food for service. What are the options? Could it be done either in the form of a full dinner or a buffet of finger foods like little sandwiches, cookies, or simply some place where you can bring and serve a wedding cake?

If you are regular member of the church where you are married, chances are you can rent the social hall inexpensively for your wedding reception. This can either be to serve food that you brought in yourself, or if you're lucky, foods prepared by members of the congregation who are responsible for cooking in the event that the hall was rented for such a purpose.

Another alternative is to have some sort of outdoor event, like a family barbecue, at the home of a friend or relative. In some cases this form of a wedding reception on a budget can prove to be quite fun and relaxing because it allows your guests to get out of the formal clothing they may have worn for the wedding, itself. This will give everyone, including the bride and groom, a chance to relax somewhat and enjoy the experience even more.

Photography

The biggest frustration in wedding photography is paying an expensive photographer and then ending up with pictures that you do not like. If you have already decided to hire a wedding photographer, try to find an affordable one who has a portfolio of beautiful pictures. The best way to do this is to ask around. Talk to a friend or a relative who may personally know a wedding photographer. Talk to someone who recently had a wedding to determine if they like their wedding photographer. And most important of all, you must talk to as many wedding photographers as you can. Compare their prices, packages, and portfolio. Choose the photographer who not only takes good pictures but is also willing to accommodate your wishes and your budget.

Miscellaneous

Flowers can be another great expense, but also an unnecessary one. Why not buy wholesale flowers, or pick flowers from your garden (or a friends or relatives). Buy plain gold or white gold wedding bands as these are the cheapest. Get a friend to make your wedding cake for you and opt for a smaller tier cake and it doesn’t have to be a fruit cake – try a sponge, chocolate or carrot cake! Make your favors and center-peices yourself. Accessories for these can be found at little outlet stores or online. Lastly, instead of a limousine why not rent a car or borrow a luxury car from a friend or relative?
